Randall “Randy” Ray Piper, Warsaw, passed away Feb. 13, 2018, after a 15-month battle with lymphoma at the age of 67.
He was born Nov. 15, 1950, to V. Ray and Rosemary Spangle Piper, along with his twin brother, Rodney, in Wabash.
Randy never stopped smiling. Known for his contagious laugh and rock-n-roll attitude, Randy will live in the hearts of all who have had the pleasure of knowing him.
He enjoyed shootin’ the breeze with his friends and family, playing air drums and guitar to classic rock, telling jokes, and could see the silver lining in any situation.
He showed his talents in woodworking through construction for 35-plus years. His blood, sweat and tears were spread all across the country in countless homes and businesses with astounding craftsmanship.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Ray Piper.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Kathy Piper; parents, V. Ray and Rosemary Piper; son, Jeremy (Stephanie); and stepchildren, Kelly (Diego) Basalo and Nathan (Amy) Packer. Randy also leaves behind seven siblings: Deborah (Dennis) Alvarez, Rodney Piper (his twin), Kimra Olde, Pamela (Roger) Piper-Ruth, Laura (Ric) Kingsley, Ryan (Diane) Piper and Reid Piper; and lots of nieces, nephews and grandchildren who will dearly miss him.
“You the man, Ran.”
