COLUMBIA CITY – Randall A. “Randy” Cook, 69, North Webster, passed away on Nov. 3, 2016, at his residence. 
Born July 6, 1947, in Allen County, he was the son of Jack A. and Gloria J. Gruesbeck Cook.
He was a lifetime area resident and attended local schools, graduating from Columbia City Joint High School with the class of 1965. He then attended the University of Cincinnati for architecture. 
He was the former owner of Cocinero’s, Syracuse. He worked for over 20 years as a designer at Copper River Cabinet Company, Fort Wayne. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1417, Columbia City, and American Legion Post 253, North Webster.
He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He also enjoyed watching I.U. basketball and Notre Dame football.
Survivors include his children: Lori (and spouse Rob) DeSomer, Warsaw; Zachary (and spouse Joy) Cook, Fort Wayne; and Rhett Cook, Goshen; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; and two siblings, Ryan (and spouse Karen) Cook and Reisa (and spouse John) Snyder, both of Columbia City.
He was preceded by his parents; a brother, Ross Cook; and great-grandson Trace Ritter.
Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. An Elks service will be at 7 p.m., with funeral services to immediately follow at the funeral home.
