Rambler Park In Silver Lake Dedicated

SILVER LAKE – A dedication ceremony was held May 4 at Rambler Park in Silver Lake.
In 2013 the town of Silver Lake received a two-to-one matching grant from K21 Health Foundation for up to $70,000. $35,000 was raised to receive the full grant amount allotted by K21.
Construction began shortly after receipt of the grant to get rid of old dilapidated equipment and replace it with up-to-date, safer equipment at Rambler Park, according to Tonya Conley, Silver Lake clerk-treasurer.
While still in the final stages of completion, the town wanted to have a dedication for the park with citizens, donors and K21 to show appreciation.
“We have been so blessed to see how everyone came together for our children and families who live and visit our small town,” Conley said.
The town is in the process of painting the basketball court and will be painting the existing equipment to match the new.
Conley praised K21 as an organization that cares about this county and is eager to help.
