Ralph ShepherdRalph Shepherd, 78, of rural Etna Green, Ind., went to be with his Savior at 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at the Meadows of Warsaw.
He was born June 5, 1940, in Martin, Ky., to Isaac and Virginia Scarberry Shepherd. He was married on Oct. 2, 1957, in Martin, Ky., to his true love Aileen Daniels; she survives.
He worked for Creighton Brothers for 45 years, retiring in 2012. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed going to auctions and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Aileen Shepherd; children, Linda and husband Rex Scott, Brenda and husband Wendell Slone, Arnold and wife Carolyn Shepherd, Alan and wife Sherry Shepherd and Kathy and husband Adolfo Palacios; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one on the way; a brother, Petro Shepherd; and sisters, Mary Crum and Jackie Makaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 31 at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with Pastor Glenn Hall officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at the funeral home.
