Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
A rally for the troops is scheduled for Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. in Warsaw's Central Park.
"It's an all-day event," said organizer Shanna Coon, Warsaw. "We plan to have a candlelight memorial for David Fribley after dark."
Coon has a couple of friends serving in the military in Iraq. Co-organizers Melinda Bartley and Cherish Heckaman, whose brother, Josh, is a U.S. Marine in Iraq, plan to make the event a fund-raiser for the USO Care Package Fund, too.
Proceeds from food and bumper sticker sales will go to the USO. Collection barrels for "care packages" also will be in the area.
Speakers are scheduled throughout the day.
