Railroad Construction Moves NorthRailroad construction is now focused on crossings along the northern half of Warsaw along the Norfolk Southern tracks.
The following is an update from the city of Warsaw:
Open crossings include Lyon, Arthur, Fort Wayne, Center, Pope streets; Winona Avenue; Ranch Road and CR 200S.
Crossings that remain closed include Anchorage Road (CR 200 N), Market and Main streets.
The 23-mile rail-replacement project stretches from Claypool and will conclude at Milford Junction and is running ahead of schedule.
Some crossings are only temporarily paved and rough. The city urges motorists to use caution when crossing.
There may be minor temporary closures for paving crews the next couple of days, but the “rail gang” will not resume installing rail again until Sunday morning.
