HUNTINGTON – Rachel A. Wood, 24, of Huntington, passed away April 13, 2012, in Indianapolis.
She was born Nov. 4, 1987, in Fort Wayne, to Claude L. Wood and Sue Johnson.
Her passion was to train dogs. She was a member of Churubusco Methodist Church.
Surviving are her father and stepmother, Claude “Woody” and Mary Ann Wood, Indianapolis; her mother and stepfather, Sue and Joseph Williams, Huntington; her twin sister, Amanda Plank, Huntington; a grandmother, Florence Johnson, Churubusco; half sisters: Tracy Coleman and Stephanie Wood, both of Warsaw; Vondee Wood, Columbia City; Victoria and Samantha Wood both of Indianapolis; half brothers, William Daniel Wood, Warsaw, and Jesse Wood, Fort Wayne; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, David Allen Heister; a daughter, Ellen Nicole Heister; and her grandfather, Carl Johnson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington, with the Rev. Diana Teusch officiating. Burial will be in Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington County.
