Glenn Hochstetler, of MeadowBlend Auctions, will begin calling the live auction at 7 p.m. Homemade pie and other desserts, provided by North Winona Church of the Brethren, will be available for a donation. Some of the items available at the auction may be viewed as part of a progressive quilt show, with quilts and art exhibited at six locations around Kosciusko County. The exhibit will be available through Feb. 21 during business hours at: • Bell Memorial Public Library, 101 W. Main St., Mentone. • North Webster Community Public Library, 301 N. Main St., North Webster. • Morgan Library, Grace College, 200 Seminary Drive, Winona Lake. • Warsaw Community Public Library, 310 E. Main St., Warsaw • Warsaw City Hall, 102 S. A centerpiece of the auction is the “Lively Lakeside Living” quilt, which was pieced by women of the Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church and custom quilted by Kathy Slater of Stems and Stitches Studio, South Whitley. This quilt will be among the items to be auctioned that evening and is currently on display at Warsaw City Hall. View images of many of the items at Events section of the Facebook page for Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County, facebook.com/HFHOKC/. Be sure to click on the Discussion tab. Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County is a faith-based organization which helps provide affordable housing for those in need of safe, warm shelter. The present build is for the Nichter family of five and is located on Leedy Street in Warsaw. Attendance and participation in this auction will provide the funding for necessary building materials for the Nichter build.
