Purdue Glee Club Performs Oct. 30

WINONA LAKE - Boilermakers and music lovers may both be pleased to hear that the Purdue Glee Club is coming to Winona Lake.

Lakeland Community Concert Association will present the Purdue Glee Club at Rodeheaver Auditorium Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m.

According to information provided by LCCA, "With integrity, passion, unparalleled showmanship and attention to every detail, the men of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club have proudly served as ambassadors of the university with honor and dignity for more than 115 years.

"This dynamic musical troupe employs a versatile repertoire including gospel, vocal jazz, swing, contemporary hits, romantic ballads, classical choral selections, barbershop, folk melodies, patriotic standards, familiar opera choruses, country and novelty tunes, and utilizes small groups and outstanding soloists to further enhance each show."

LCCA subscription tickets are $40 each for the entire season. Individual show tickets are available at the door. Children, 18 years old and younger, may attend free when accompanied by an adult member. A 10 percent discount is available for groups of 20 or more individuals.

All concerts will be held at Rodeheaver Auditorium, 900 Park Ave., Winona Lake, except the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra concert.

LCCA subscriptions are honored at community concerts in Kendallville, LaPorte and Kokomo.Patron gifts are essential to the success of the series. Names of patrons will be printed in program inserts for each LCCA concert. Categories of gifts are defined as: Platinum, $1,000 or more; Directors Club, $500 to $999; Sponsors, $200 to $499; Donors, $100 to $199; Contributors, $50 to $99; and Friends, $15 to $49.

Upcoming shows include the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra, 2 p.m., Dec. 19, Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center; The Marlins, 7:30 p.m., Feb. 19; and The Pure Gold Tour, 7:30 p.m., April 23.
