First-grade students at Madison Elementary School recently had Pumpkin Day. The children traveled to different stations to participate in different 'pumpkin'-themed events. One of the favorites was the pumpkin-carving station in the science lab. The first-graders dug out the pulp and seeds and then examined them under a microscope.
