 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
n 11:07 a.m. Tuesday – Michael Allen Baumgartner, 64, of 31 EMS D2 Lane, Syracuse, arrested for possession of marijuana, hash or salvia. Bond: $2,000.
n 2:45 p.m. Tuesday – Matthew Ross Kovar, 20, of 1204 Ranch Road, Warsaw, arrested on two counts of failure to appear. Bond: $2,000.
n 3:09 p.m. Tuesday – Jack Dean Knapp, 52, of 8280 E. US 30, No. 52, Pierceton, arrested for child molesting. Bond: $10,000.
n 4 p.m. Tuesday – Bernard Bryan Warrick Jr., 19, of 19785 Elm Road, Tippecanoe, arrested for theft – less than $100,000 in value. Bond: $1,500.
n 9:41 p.m. Tuesday – Johnnie Franklin May, 58, of 3762 W. Old 30, No. 623, Warsaw, arrested for driving while suspended. Bond: $750.
n 10:15 p.m. Tuesday – Benjamin Michael Stewart, 40, of 9018 E. Backwater Road, North Webster, arrested on two counts of driving while suspended. Bond: $300.
n 2:13 a.m. today – Robert Dwayne Slone, 35, of 1404 Tippecanoe Drive, Warsaw, arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Bond: $750.

Personal Injury
Accidents
n 12:55 p.m. Tuesday – Intersection of South Ind. 15 and West CR 600S, Claypool. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Dennis D. Miller, 71, New Haven; Cassie S. Swihart, 61, South Merry Estates Drive, Silver Lake. Injuries: Miller was airlifed to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, to be treated for abdominal and pelvic pain; Swihart was transported to Kosciukso Community Hospital to be treated for pain in her lower arm. Damages: $2,500 to $5,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
n 4:57 p.m. Tuesday – East Winona Avenue, 100 feet west of South Bronson Street, Warsaw. Driver fell off mo-ped after rear tire exploded. Driver: Troy R. Duty, 53, Husky Trail, Warsaw. Injuries: Duty was transported to KCH to be treated for abrasions and a broken leg. Damages: Less than $750. Warsaw Police Department investigated.

n 1:30 a.m. Tuesday – North CR 300E, 200 feet south of East CR 1300N, Syracuse. Vehicle struck by storm debris. Driver: David M. Hall, 53, North CR 550E, Syracuse. Damages: $2,500 to $5,000. Syracuse Police Department investigated.
n 5:23 a.m. Tuesday – East CR 300S, 350 feet west of South Country Club Road, Warsaw. Vehicle struck storm debris. Driver: Debbie S. McNees, 32, East CR 300S, Warsaw. Damages: $2,500 to $5,000. KCSD.
n 1 p.m. Tuesday – Intersection of South Buffalo Street and West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Vehicle struck police squad car. Driver: Alysha L. Cochran, 18, East CR 575N, Leesburg. Driver of squad car: Christopher W. Anderson, 26, West Main Street, Warsaw. Damages: $5,000 to $10,000. WPD.

n 10:09 a.m. Tuesday – Police responded to a report of fraud in the 100 block of South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. WPD.
n 12:48 p.m. Tuesday – A Warsaw woman reported items stolen from her vehicle at her residence in the 300 block of East Levi Lee Road. KCSD.
n 1:30 p.m. Tuesday – A North Webster woman reported her wallet lost in the 700 block of South Main Street. North Webster Police Department investigated.
n 1:58 p.m. Tuesday – A Warsaw woman reported her smart phone stolen from a gas station in the 600 block of South Buffalo Street. WPD.
n 2:44 p.m. Tuesday – Police responded to a report of an employee using an employer’s credit card fraudulently in the 2100 block of East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. WPD.
n 4:57 p.m. Tuesday – Police responded to a report of false informing after a mo-ped was reported stolen but later recovered in the 3100 block of Frontage Road, Warsaw. WPD.
n 7:42 p.m. Tuesday – A Warsaw woman reported suspicious acts in the 600 block of North Columbia Street. WPD.
n 8:30 p.m. Tuesday – A Pierceton man reported a phone scam in the 6000 block of South CR 700E. KCSD.
