 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
n 12:45 p.m. Tuesday – Laci Rae Harper, 27, of 107 E. Center St., Burket, arrested on two counts of check deception. Bond: $475.
n 1:03 p.m. Tuesday – Michael James Elliott, 50, of 3103 Sandra Lane, Winona Lake, arrested for rape. Bond: $50,000.
n 4 p.m. Tuesday – Bryan Elliott Belcher, 42, Richmond, Ill., arrested for theft – under $100,000. Bond: $25,000.
n 1:43 a.m. today – Terry Lee Morrisett, 33, of 920 Anchorage Road, No. 104, Warsaw, arrested for domestic battery. Bond: $500.

n 7:38 a.m. Tuesday – Intersection of North Main and West Boston streets, Syracuse. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Brenda J. Bolinger, 55, West High Street, Syracuse; Toni R. Hitchcock, 37, Huntington Street, Syracuse. Damages: Under $750. Syracuse Police Department investigated.
n 2:50 p.m. Tuesday – South Ind. 15, 1,000 feet north of West CR 600S, Claypool. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Murphy C. Clark, 23, Peru; Benjamin H. Shropshire, 30, Peru. Damages: $10,000 to $25,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
n 5:44 p.m. Tuesday – 611 W. Emeline St., Milford. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Joas D. Miller, 28, West CR 1250N, Milford; Dianna L. Biesemeyer, 25, East Mock Road, Milford. Damages: $1,000 to $2,500. KCSD.
n 6:26 p.m. Tuesday – 2211 E. Center St., Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Sandra L. Clark, 47, West CR 200S, Mentone; Nancy L. Bentley, 59, East Smith Street, Warsaw. Damages: $1,000 to $2,500. Warsaw Police Department investigated.
