Editor, Times-Union: We all know that publicly funded programs and benefits are being looked at for possible cuts. As this process occurs, it’s important to know about those services now funded and used by our community – and understand how cuts will affect us. It’s also important to know when and how to make our voices heard. After all, we should be at the table, part of the conversation as these critical decisions are made.
To help in this process, Cardinal Services is hosting Ms. Kim Opsahl, executive vice president of INARF (the Indiana Association of Rehabilitative Facilities, of which Cardinal is a member). Ms. Opsahl will give a one-hour presentation on issues facing the disability community which relies on Medicaid and other public funding for services.
The meeting is open to the public and will take place Aug. 9 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Cardinal Training Center in the Big R Plaza. We invite interested members of our community to join us.
