Editor, Times-Union:
This is a public apology letter to Officers James Hastings and James Curtis.
Dear Officers Hastings and Curtis,
I want to extend my sincerest apologies for my behavior when I was in crisis. I recognize the severity of my actions and words, and I feel regret and shame for any physical harm or emotional distress I have caused you and your team.
I placed myself in a bad situation, and I intend to learn from that and not place myself in similar situations in the future. I recognize that I made a terrible mistake and while I cannot change the past, I can reorient myself towards the future.
I am truly grateful for the way you handled my situation. I appreciate your service as public servants, and I pray that you can forgive me with time.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Yorek
