Because of severe weather, a legislative committee hearing on bills regarding scheduling and tracking of pseudoephedrine has been postponed.
State Rep. Dr. Tim Brown said today the hearing will be rescheduled at a later date. The Indiana House Committee on Public Health was scheduled to hear testimony regarding PSE at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The committee is considering bills that offer two approaches to curbing the manufacture, sale and use of illicit methamphetamine in Indiana.
One is using an electronic system to track individual sales of those cold medicines.
Another is making cold medicines containing PSE available by prescription only.
