Posted

Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, a local nonprofit providing supportive services to families facing cancer, announced Dianne May, president and CEO, will retire at the end of the year.
May has served as the nonprofit’s top executive since 2003, the provided release states.
“Serving as the president and CEO of Cancer Services has been a privilege and the highlight of my professional career. I am honored by the trust donors, clients and the CSNI board have placed in me for the past 22 years,” May said.
The board of directors for Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana has formed a search committee and engaged a professional consultant to help guide the transition. The search committee expects to begin accepting applicants in August, according to the release.
Diane Calinski of Manchester University serves as board chair and the chair of the search committee. “The Cancer Services Board of Directors is immensely grateful to Dianne for her leadership and commitment to our mission over the past two decades. She leaves Cancer Services in good standing, and so we take the responsibility of hiring a new executive director very seriously,” Calinski stated. “The board of directors will make all decisions with our mission and the people we serve at the forefront.”
Calinski also said the transition will have minimal impact on the services provided to local families.
