Editor, Times-Union: September 28, 6 a.m. … 40 days of Prayer and Fasting kick-off.
As we all know this is one the most critical elections of our time and much interest has been building about an organized prayer time for our nation.
"If My People 2012" is a movement to pray for our Nation during the 40 days before the election on Nov 6th. All concerned believers are welcome to be a part of this. To start things off we will meet at the Kosciusko County Courthouse Friday evening Sept. 28 at 6 a.m. to about 7 p.m. Please join us and bring your friends and family as we unite and cry out to God for our country.
This organization has a website http://www.ifmypeople2012.org/ and will deliver a devotional to your inbox daily if you would like. There will be a hand-out at the rally for those who would like a prayer calendar.
We will break into small groups with specific prayer requests, according to your passion. People may come and go as you have time. No one will be asked to pray aloud. Please bring chairs if standing is difficult and umbrellas if it looks like rain.
Our country was founded because men and women wanted a country like no other had ever been. One that was founded on Biblical principles that have stood the test of time. We are a nation that has grown to be the greatest country in the world economically and has more freedoms than any other country ever. We are losing those freedoms and we need to look to the God who gave them to us to get back on course.
Please come and join with us as we ask for His wisdom, direction and will for the United States of America in this important election.
