Editor, Times-Union: As I was watching CNN news on Sept. 15 I was greatly disturbed by the horror of ISIS terrorists, NFL players’ abuse of their wives and children and the extreme abuse in China of Christians. The dilemma that China's political leaders are facing is that Christians are about to become the majority in their country. So, the political leaders are destroying the Christians churches and brutally beating their prisoners in an attempt to deter them. The Chinese Government cites the Christians crosses and other religious symbols as infractions of their law. America does not need to send drones or take military actions. We, as citizens of the United States need to take action against sending our factories our jobs, to the nation of China. It is time the American people realize that a political party can control the country by abuse. It is time that the constitutional rights of the minority in our nation be protected, not taken away. Our hardworking middle-class are bearing the brunt of high taxes, our political parties are allowing 25 percent of our large corporations to not pay any taxes. Our congress will not vote to increase taxes to a minimal 2 percent of those who make over $200,000 in our nation. Our education system is being depleted, women’s rights are being threatened and taken away. It is way past time that the immigration reform takes place in our nation, also, race discrimination needs to end. The list goes on....health care, refusing to raise the minimum wage, etc., etc. Let us all pray for our Chinese Christian families who are being abused, but also let us pray for our fellow Americans who are struggling to survive by taking action and do the right thing. Let's start by bringing our factories and jobs back from China. Let us wake up and take a serious look at America, “Let's feed the hungry, help the poor, give water to the thirsty, give shelter to the homeless, clothes to the naked, quality care to the sick. Let us help those that are in prison, by overhauling our state prisons.” If you don't believe this is important, my challenge to you is read Matthew Chapter 25. Our nation's life depends on it.
