Porfirio Castillo, 55, of 910 River Ave. E, Warsaw, died Oct. 22, 2009, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

He was born Feb. 26, 1954, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Secundino and Marie De Remedios Perez Castillo. On Nov. 2, 1980, he married Maria Eva Serrano, who survives.

A resident of Warsaw since 1971, he worked in the core room at Dalton Foundries for more than 25 years and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, both in Warsaw.

Also surviving are two sons, Ivan (and spouse Karina) Castillo and Fernando Castillo, all of Warsaw; a daughter, Adriana (and spouse Uriel) Sanchez, Warsaw; a granddaughter; his father, Secundino Castillo, Mexico; three sisters: Juventina (and spouse Juan) Mares, Goshen; Alfreda (and spouse Marcos) Castillo, Nappanee; Margarita (and spouse Ignacio) Castillo, Houston, Texas; and seven brothers: Nicholas (and spouse Maria) Castillo, Raimundo Castillo, Bernardino Castillo and Andres (and spouse Maria) Castillo, all of Houston, Texas; Saturnino (and spouse Mari Cruz) Castillo, Goshen; Ciro (and spouse Maria Luisa) Castillo, Mexico; and Gerardo (and spouse Olivia) Castillo, Dallas, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
