Porfiria Malagon

Porfiria Rodriguez Juarez Malagon, 81, of 300 E. Prairie St., Warsaw, died at 3:15 p.m. Aug. 15, 2012, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

She was born Feb. 26, 1931, in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Petronila Juarez and Valentin Rodriguez. In 1960, she married Jose Agapito Malagon, who preceded her in death.

A resident of Kosciusko County for the past 16 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Warsaw.

Surviving are three sons: Jose Antonio, Juan Joaquin  and Miguel Angel Malagon, all of Warsaw; two daughters,  Carolina Centeno and Maria Natividad Malagon Rodriguez, both of Warsaw; 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Jesus, Lucas, Domingo and Thomas Rodriguez, all of Mexico, and Amado and Salvador Rodriguez, both of Warsaw; and four sisters,  Necina, Francisca, Guadalupe and Paulina Rodriguez, all of Mexico.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Fathers Constantino Rocha and Fernando Jimenez officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
