Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer has signed a proclamation declaring Saturday as Poppy Day. Members of American Legion Post 49 will pass out poppies at 8 a.m. Saturday at various locations in town. The poppy has become a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice to honor the men and women who served and died for their country in all wars.
