I was stunned today to read letters and agreed with T.M. First I must say that letters here were real crazy when Slick Willy was in office. They were so arrogant and condescending, but when President Bush was in office, the libs went in to hiding, never voiced an opinion or complained. Now that Obama is in, they are coming out the woodwork and going great guns, crazy. But alas, they are calming down and do realize that the American people know what the health care plan really is.
Hey, A.B., a side note, I love the comics in the papers, have read them for years since I was 6 years old and learning the English language, but you are so much funnier with your letters. Heck, anyone can copy talking points off the computer and write a letter. Get real. Ever hear of the "The Far Side"?
I called Mayor Wiggins' office to ask him if he would invite Senators Lugar and Bayh and Congressman Mark Souder to a town hall meeting in Warsaw. His answer was to give me their phone numbers and that I should call them. Thanks, Mayor, I was born in the day time but I was not born yesterday. I have tried, to no avail, but I thought that you as mayor would have a little more influence.
Mr. Bayh will not answer inquiries at all, Mr. Lugar's office in Fort Wayne told me that he would be in Evansville (almost in Kentucky) and had no meetings in this area. Please call the mayor and ask him if he would try to get the three amigos here for a town hall meeting. Most senators across the country are doing it. "Come out come out wherever you are."
Mark Souder, since he is in the House, should come and tell us about the House bill that he is involved in. Did you ever read in the Times-Union that Souder was in town. Why not tell us a day or two before he comes to Warsaw so we can talk to him.
Obamacare is just so wrong and I think most Americans think so too.
