Kara Poling and Bobby Derbyshire were married Aug. 25, 2007, on a beach at Deception Pass National Park, Whidbey Island, Wash. The bride is the daughter of Steve and Luanne Poling, Warsaw; the groom's parents are Robert and Lea Derbyshire, Warsaw.
A reception is planned for the summer.
The bride was employed at Verizon Wireless. She is a graduate of Warsaw Community High School.
The groom is a U.S. Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class in airplane mechanic training. He is a graduate of Warsaw Community High School.
The couple recently moved to the Naval Air Station in Belle Chasse, New Orleans, La., where the groom has been stationed.
