Police Seize Meth Lab

Posted

SYRACUSE - Police seized what they believed is a "major" methamphetamine laboratory Wednesday afternoon from an unoccupied residence near Syracuse.

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force received information about a possible meth lab at the home at 13456 N. Hillside Drive. A subsequent search of the residence uncovered an active meth lab, where someone was apparently manufacturing the illegal substance just prior to the arrival of task force members and Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department deputies.

The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab team was called in to clean up the scene.

No arrests were made, but the matter remains under investigation. Some information about suspects was gathered by officers at the scene.

Anyone with information about the use, sale or manufacture of illegal drugs is asked to call the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force at 372-2494, the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department at 267-5667 or Crime Stoppers at 800-342-STOP.
