Police Seeking Info On Hit-And-RunA woman was hit by a vehicle early Saturday morning and police are looking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the driver.

At approximately 12:25 a.m. Saturday, the Warsaw Police Department responded to a personal injury hit-and-run that occurred on East Old 30 in the area of Eastgate Apartments, Clinic Court. At that time, an eastbound white truck hit a 26-year-old woman. The vehicle was reported by a witness to have fled the area at a high rate of speed, continuing eastbound on Old 30, according to a news release from WPD.

Initial investigation of evidence on scene by patrol officers leads WPD to believe the suspect vehicle may be a white Ford F-250 or F-350 and between the years of 2011 and 2016. There will be damage to the front passenger area of this vehicle, specifically around the headlight, the release states.

The victim was rushed to Lutheran in Fort Wayne by Lutheran EMS. Her injuries were to her back, pelvis and lower extremities. Her name was not released with the news release and her status was unknown, according to the release Saturday.

Warsaw Police Department urges anyone in the public with information to contact the WPD with tips. Call 574-372-9511 with any information.
