Police Seek Info In Man’s DeathWarsaw Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in obtaining information in a death investigation.
According to a post on the WPD Facebook page Thursday, at 2:21 a.m. Tuesday the WPD responded to the 700 block of North Lake Street regarding an EMS assist for an unresponsive person, later identified as Matthew C. Hoshal, 27, of 222 E. High St., Etna Green.
Emergency personnel found Hoshal just off the southwest side of Lake Street. He was unconscious with labored breathing. Officers at the scene noted Hoshal had suffered bodily injury. He was taken by Lutheran EMS to Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by medical staff.
Hoshal is described as a white male, 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a gray Nike T-shirt with the words “Just Do It” on the front.
Police are asking anyone with any information pertaining to this investigation and/or the whereabouts of Hoshal on April 6-7 to contact the WPD Detective Division at 574-385-2211.
