Another Break-In Reported

Add Chinatown Express to the list of Warsaw businesses that have reported break-ins since Sunday night.

An employee of the restaurant on North Detroit Street reported that sometime between 10 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Tuesday a steel door was broken and $500 was stolen from the business.

The damage to the steel door was listed at $300.

Peking Restaurant, The Gathering Place, LaJoyita, and Gorditas Aguascaliento all reported burglaries that occurred sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

All the burglaries remain under investigation with the Warsaw Police Department.One Sought In

CVS Robbery

One woman is in jail and another is being sought in connection with the Jan. 26 robbery at CVS Pharmacy in Warsaw.

At 6:37 a.m. Jan. 26, Warsaw Police Department responded to a call at the CVS Pharmacy in Warsaw.

The report claimed a woman entered the pharmacy and demanded prescription painkillers.

The robbery was one in a series of pharmacies from South Bend to Kokomo.

The investigation by police led to warrants for Sheila R. Burrington-Haecker, 27, Peru, and Kimberly M. Haecker, 27, Wabash.

Burrington-Haecker is currently being held in the Howard County Jail in Kokomo on two additional counts of robbery to a pharmacy in the area.

Another warrant is pending for Burrington-Haecker in St. Joseph County from a robbery of Walgreens in South Bend, and she is a person of interest in robbery cases at a CVS in Granger and a Walgreens in Marion.

Haecker currently is wanted in Kosciusko County for aiding in the robbery of the Warsaw CVS. She also is wanted in St. Joseph County.

Rape Probe Ongoing

The investigation of a 27-year-old Cromwell woman who reported being raped is still under investigation.

Warsaw Police Department took a report from the woman who stated she was raped by a co-worker at the Ramada Inn in Warsaw on the evening of March 7.

WPD released a statement today saying the Ramada Inn is only an alleged location of where the rape may have taken place and that neither the Ramada Inn or any of its employees are involved or suspects in the case.
