Kosciusko County authorities are investigating rape allegations made against a 17-year-old male by a 13-year-old female.
Police were notified at 9:07 p.m. Tuesday that the victim was being taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital via a South Central Emergency Medical Service ambulance. The alleged rape reportedly occurred at a rural Claypool residence.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report, the girl was lying on a comforter and pillow on the floor of the male's residence when he allegedly forced himself on her sexually.
The victim told police that the two were "messing around" and kissing when the male told her he wanted to have sex with her. She reportedly said, "No," but he continued anyway.
The girl later told a friend and guardian, who contacted police.
The matter remains under investigation.
