Police Believe Robber Has Hit Several BanksThe man suspected of robbing the downtown branch of Lake City Bank in Warsaw Tuesday morning is believed to have robbed several other banks.

Warsaw Police and the South Bend Office of the FBI believe the suspect in Tuesday's robbery is the same person who has robbed several banks in Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25 to 35 years old, between 5-feet 6-inches and 5-feet 10-inches tall with a medium build and a dark mustache and goatee.

In several of the other robberies, like the one in Warsaw Tuesday, he was wearing a short leather jacket and dark gloves, and passed a note to the teller demanding cash.

In Tuesday's robbery, the suspect gave a note to the teller demanding all the $20 bills in the drawer. The teller complied and the man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Surveillance photos from a robbery in Paw Paw, Mich., Feb. 13 show the man's face and are being distributed to media outlets in hopes of finding the suspect.

The FBI is offering a reward to help with the apprehension of the suspect.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is asked to contact the South Bend FBI office at 574-233-4488.
