Phillips 66 Reports Burglary
A burglary at a Warsaw gas station was reported early this morning.

According to a report from the Warsaw Police Department, the Phillips 66, 2518 E. Center St., Warsaw, was burglarized.

Police responded around 4:13 a.m. today.

The front window was damaged to gain entry and an undisclosed amount of merchandise was taken.

The damage was reported to be $500.

Man Arrested For Stealing Batteries
A Cromwell man was arrested Sunday for allegedly trying to steal batteries from Mendards.

Police said he was attempting to steal lithium batteries to use as a precursor for meth.

David Alan Huffenberger, 41, of 9660 E. Pixie Parkway, Cromwell, was booked into Kosciusko County Jail at 6:11 p.m. Sunday on one count of theft.

He was held on $2,000 bond.

WCHS Student Arrested For Being Drunk At School
A Warsaw Community High School student was arrested Friday morning at the high school for allegedly being intoxicated.

A WCHS faculty member called police who came to the high school and arrested Sierra Jacoba Hale, 18, Silver Lake.

She was charged with possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor and held on $300 bond in Kosciusko County Jail.

Police Looking Into Child Fondling
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department detectives are looking into a report of a child possibly being fondled.

A Warsaw man told police Sunday that his daughter, age not given, was fondled by a man.

No arrests have been made as of press time.
