Man Jailed for June Incident With Teen
NAPPANEE – A Nappanee man is in jail and is accused of engaging in a sexual act with a 14-year-old girl.

Lloyd Allen Slabaugh Jr., 22, of 71915 CR 3, Nappanee, was booked into Kosciusko County Jail on a charge of sexual misconduct and held on $5,000 bond.

The arrest comes from a June 1 incident where a 14-year-old girl told police Slabaugh coerced her into a sex act.

A probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office says the girl had known Slabaugh for several months and often would text with him.

On the night of June 1, the victim was spending the night at a friend’s place when they snuck out and called Slabaugh to pick them up so they could “cruise.”

According to the probable cause affidavit, the girl was asked by Slabaugh what was in it for him and he asked if he could have sex with her.

After picking up the two children, Slabaugh then is alleged to have tried putting his hand down the victim’s pants and then she performed a sexual act on him.

Slabaugh told investigators that the victim did perform the sexual act on him but that he told her before and after the incident that she was too young.
