Police have arrested a man they believe broke into the Warsaw Auto Zone store through its roof in June 2010.
Keith J. Vuittonet, 35, was arrested Friday afternoon by Warsaw police and Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Dept. officers, at a mobile home in the Whispering Pines Trailer Court on the city’s north side. He is being held on charges of burglary and residential entry at Kosciusko County Jail.
Police say they tied Vuittonet to the Auto Zone break-in with fingerprints found at the scene, and video surveillance from the auto parts store, located at 1801 E. Center St., Warsaw. Detectives believe Vuittonet broke into the store through its roof.Vuittonet was also tabbed as having broken into a Pierceton home, though specific details on that alleged incident were not released by police.
Police said they believe Vuittonet had fled to Texas after the break-ins, before returning to the region recently.
Vuittonet was fixed a $20,000 bond.
