Students in Mrs. Underhill’s third-grade class at Pierceton Elementary recently had a poetry reading for their relatives and friends. They spent four weeks writing poems. They wrote a snapshot poem using a magazine picture for inspiration, a five-senses poem and a free verse poem. They then chose the poem that they thought was their best piece of writing to read at the poetry reading. Shown is the class with their poems.
