Ryan Daniel Poe, 35, Leesburg, made his first appearance in court Wednesday morning on the charge of murder. Poe and his attorney have scheduled a status conference for Aug. 17 at the prosecutor’s office. His pre-trial has been set for 3 p.m. Sept. 21. Poe was charged for the murder of his father, Ronnie Poe, 60, by use of a .410 shotgun at their home at 690 Levi Lee Road, south of Leesburg, at about 9 p.m. Friday.
