Plumlee Wins Awards

In year-end ceremonies, Marshall Plumlee, a graduating senior leader, National Honor Society member, Wetmore Scholar and Honor Council Chair at Christ School near Asheville, N.C., received the Headmaster’s Cup, which is presented to the senior who has demonstrated exemplary character and leadership and represented the school with humility and dignity throughout their tenure at Christ School.
He also received the Big Brother Award, which is voted on by the new students and awarded to the senior who provided the most support, guidance and friendship in helping them with their adjustments during their first year at Christ School.
A member of Christ School’s 3A state champion basketball team for each of the past four years, Marshall was awarded the Senior Athletic Cup for his leadership, integrity and ability.
Marshall is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Millard P. Plumlee III, Asheville, and brother of Miles Plumlee ’08 and Mason Plumlee ’09 who both attend Duke University. Marshall will also attend Duke University in the fall where he has committed to play Division 1 basketball.
Founded in 1900, Christ School is an all-boys college preparatory boarding and day school, grades 8-12. The school is affiliated with the Episcopal Church and serves young men from 19 states and nine foreign countries. It is located on a 500-acre wooded campus near Asheville.
