I live a little less than a half mile from peaceful, tranquil Winona Lake. I have to listen to V-8 power boats with no mufflers and screaming jet skis all day and illegal fire works most of the night, often as late as 1:30 a.m. As I write this my poor daughter’s dog is sitting here trembling and it is 11 p.m.
I would think the people suing for a peaceful lake would ask the mayor to enforce the illegal fireworks laws and maybe a new ordinance only allowing fireworks on the Fourth of July.
I also think they should petition the DNR to restrict power boats to 25 hp or less and have a 15 mph speed limit. If the lake people don't want noise from the fairgrounds then why should we have to endure their noise pollution?
