Plans have been finalized to welcome home the local National Guard Unit headquartered in Warsaw. They will return to Kosciusko County around noon Friday.
Operation Welcome Home will be held at the Kosciusko County Courthouse when members of the unit stop there to be recognized for their service in Iraq. National Guardsmen will present to the city a U.S. flag that flew in Iraq during their service in the Middle East.
The public is encouraged to join in this celebration to honor Company A, 2nd Battalion, 152nd of the Indiana National Guard. The "welcome home" will be held on the Center Street side of the courthouse. Everyone is encouraged to bring flags to wave, wear patriotic items and bring posters and signs to express gratitute for their service.
The celebration, originally planned for Saturday, was changed to this event at the request of the Indiana National Guard.
