Plans presented by Bob Petro of Petro Family LLC showing construction of two retail buildings on 2 acres were approved by the Warsaw Plan Commission Monday.
The design was given first and secondary approval.
The Petro planned unit development was established as an area in October 2001. Each phase of development will be reviewed by the plan commission.
The buildings will be west of Shelden Drive, behind Petro's GM Showplace, on Ind. 15N.
The site plan shows one building will be 4,250 square feet and the other will be 16,800 square feet, divided into six spaces. Petro said one of the spaces already is leased.
The plan commission also approved a request by Glenn and Patricia Nichols regarding a two-lot residential subdivision, at 1225 Country Club Road. A residence already exists on the Country Club Road side. The second lot will be accessed from Island View Drive.
The board gave a favorable recommendation to the proposed annexation of 15 acres north of Old Road 30E and east of CR 225E. Petitioners are requesting R-1 zoning with plans for a 13-acre single-family subdivision. Property owners are Richard Jaynes, Sharon Jaynes, Gary Burnau, Marthene Burnau, Jason Strickler and Tara Strickler.
Plan commission members are Alan Clingan, Lacy Francis, Joe Thallemer, Richard Keeven, Jeff Grose, Dewey Lawshe and Jim Gast.
