Planners OK Development Plan, Preliminary Plat

Posted
Warsaw Plan Commission Monday approved a development plan and preliminary plat for a planned unit development.

Petitioner Biggs Inc. requested a residential planned unit development plan be approved for Gilliam Drive, Warsaw.

The project consists of a multi-family planned unit development that was originally approved in February 2004.The original development plan was approved around the same time, but expired since the original applicant failed to file a preliminary plat for the project, according to City Planner Jeremy Skinner.

The petitioner is proposing a landscape buffer along Gilliam Drive. The buffer will be three feet high and 30 feet wide.

The petitioner also is proposing to construct nine buildings housing 19 dwellings.

The project will consist of eight duplexes and one triplex consisting of 19 dwelling units.

The construction of these units will be similar to those at Tiger's Retreat, according to planning information.

Skinner said the petitioner will need to submit a final plat for the planned unit development.
