BAGHDAD, Iraq - Major Ryan Plank, M.D., was deployed to the 86th Combat Support Hospital (IBN SINA Hospital) in Baghdad, Iraq, on July 22.
Plank is an orthopaedic surgeon in the United States Army. He served for five years at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, and currently is stationed at Winn Army Hospital at Fort Stewart, Ga., where he has served for the past year.
Plank is a 1994 graduate of Warsaw Community High School, a 1998 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, and a 2002 graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine.
He currently resides in Richmond Hill, Ga., with his wife Melanie and daughters, Josie Rae, 3, and Sophie Grace, 8 months.
Plank is the son of Jeff and Jodene Plank, Warsaw.
