LEESBURG - Plain Township Trustee Don Boggs was happy with the funds he received for his 1999 budget.
So happy, in fact, he's not seeking any rate increase for the 2000 budget.
"I'm glad we've done what we've done in the past," he told his advisory board Tuesday. "We're going to be able to keep our tax rate low, and at no change from last year."
The township tax rate for 1999 was 21 cents per $100 of assessed valuation, he said.
Boggs said the following requested amounts would be sufficient to operate the township government - fire, emergency medical services and poor relief:
Fire cumulative fund - $205,000.
Emergency medical services - $180,000
Fire fund - $85,000
Building fund - $50,000.
Township welfare - $4,000
