Pink Ribbon

Posted

Approximately half of the Warsaw Community High School student body Friday morning formed a large pink ribbon in culmination of the school’s cancer awareness week to raise money for the Kosciusko County Cancer Care Fund. The estimated 1,000 students got to be a part of the giant ribbon if they wore pink to school today. According to Student Body President Evan Miller, money was raised through T-shirt sales, money wars and pink ribbons. WCHS has had a cancer awareness week for a number of years, he stated. At tonight’s home football game against Wawasee, spectators are asked to wear pink. Miller said they won’t know how much money was raised until next week.
