Pierceton Woman Facing Several Battery ChargesA Pierceton woman is facing charges after allegedly getting into a fist fight with another woman in front of two children.
Olivia Nicole Stacy, 23, of 7135 E. CR 125S, #6, Pierceton, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 11:14 a.m. Feb. 1 and faces charges for domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a Level 6 felony; domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, a Level 6 felony; strangulation, a Level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Thursday in Kosciusko Superior Court III, on Feb. 1 Warsaw police responded to a home in reference to a domestic abuse complaint and upon arrival found Stacy packing her belongings in a vehicle and visibly upset.
When police spoke with Stacy, according to court papers, she told police she was just in a verbal argument with her girlfriend and that her girlfriend shoved her. Stacy further said that after she got shoved, she got on top of the woman and the woman began biting her finger so she slapped her in the face to try to get her to stop.
Stacy also told police that a child present tried to pull her off of the woman, and as the child did that, Stacy tightened her grip on the woman’s neck, according to the affidavit.
When police spoke with the woman, according to the affidavit, the woman said Stacy was trying to damage a washing machine inside the home and they got into an argument.
She told police that Stacy punched her in the face, causing her to fall into the bath tub. According to court papers, the woman said Stacy then got on top of her, hit her head on the tub and placed her finger in the woman’s mouth to try to “rip the inside of her mouth as she has done in the past.”
The woman told police she bit Stacy’s finger to try to prevent Stacy from “ripping her mouth.” According to the affidavit, Stacy then began choking the woman with her hands and arm, preventing the woman from breathing.
Medics on scene treated the woman for her injuries and observed injuries consistent with the victim’s story of what happened, according to court papers.
A second child present at the home told police they observed the dispute, according to the affidavit.
According to court records, Stacy was convicted of battery resulting in moderate bodily injury in Kosciusko County in 2019 and violated her probation for allegedly failing to complete an anger management program. Stacy was allowed to serve a portion of her sentence on the Kosciusko County Community Corrections program, according to court records, but was terminated from KCCC for leaving the Serenity House without permission.
