A Pierceton woman is in critical condition after a Tuesday night accident.

At 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department responded to a call about a one-vehicle accident near CRs 450E and 100S.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by Jonathon D. Canterbury, 21, Warsaw.

In Canterbury's vehicle were Christy Anglano, 18, and Adrienne Anderson, 17, both of Pierceton. Both were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital.

A third female, Tristin Schultz, 22, Pierceton, was also in the vehicle. Schultz was airlifted by Samaritan and flown to Parkview Hospital. She was listed in critical condition as of Wednesday afternoon.

An investigation showed that Canterbury was westbound on CR 100S when he ran off the south edge of the roadway, overcorrected, and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle slid sideways off the north side of CR 100S and rolled over, coming to rest in a field.

According to a police report, excessive speed and alcohol are believed to be involved.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by Pierceton Fire and Multi-Township EMS.
