On Feb. 6, Pierceton Elementary School held its annual science fair. The first-place winner was Jordyn Leininger, a fourth-grade student. Jordyn tested different types of feed to determine which type of feed is the best for her sheep. The second-place winner was Madilyn Bradley, a fourth-grade student. She wanted to know if battery size makes a difference to the size of a magnetic field. Both students will compete in the 60th Northeast Indiana Regional Science and Engineering Fair at IPFW Saturday.
