NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION BY THE TOWN OF PIERCETON REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION EXPANDING PIERCETON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA NO. 1 AND APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE AREA AND OF A PUBLIC HEARING RELATING THERETO Notice is hereby given that the Town of Pierceton Redevelopment Commission (the "Commission"), the governing body of the Town of Pierceton, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment, on July 14, 2014, approved and adopted a resolution (the "Declaratory Resolution"), which Declaratory Resolution designates and declares an additional area within the Town of Pierceton as an economic development area (the “Expansion Area”) to expand the Pierceton Economic Development Area No. 1 (the "Area") and expand the “allocation area” (as such term is defined in Indiana Code 36-7-14-39) relating to the Area so as to include the Expansion Area. The Declaratory Resolution also approves an amendment (the "Plan Amendment") to the Economic Development Plan (the “Plan”) for the Area to provide for the expansion of the Area. Notice is further given that on Monday, September 8, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. (local time), in the Town Council Chambers, 105 Walnut Street, Pierceton, Indiana, 46562, the Commission will conduct a public hearing to receive and hear remonstrances and objections from persons interested in or affected by the proceedings pertaining to the proposed Plan Amendment and to determine the public utility and benefit of such proposed amendments and to confirm, confirm and modify, or rescind the Declaratory Resolution. Maps and plats of the Area and the Expansion Area have been prepared and can be inspected along with the Declaratory Resolution and the Plan Amendment at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, 105 Walnut Street, Pierceton, Indiana, 46562.
