PIERCETON - Festival organizer Kim Rose recently announced some details of this year's Pierceton Days, scheduled for Aug. 1-3
Rose said the theme of the festival will be "Pierceton Days Mardi Gras."The Pierceton Emergency Medical Service will be the festival grand marshall. A special dinner will be held for EMS members. Rose said event organizers are seeking photos of current and former Pierceton EMS personnel for a display documenting the group's history.
Downtown shops will remain open during this year's car show on Ind. 13. Rose said the show may actually benefit the local shops as crowds converge on downtown.
"Some of the wives of guys going to the cars show may want to step into the shops and browse the antiques," Rose said.
Rose also said this year's festival will have more attractions for children.
