PIERCETON – The town council had a short meeting Monday.
Halloween hours were set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
Town marshal Tim Sammons said he’d met with town lawyer Jim Walmer about changing the junk vehicle ordinance into a nuisance ordinance and increasing the fees for property owners in violation of the ordinance.
The council discussed the purchase of a new backhoe for the utilities department with utilities manager Chip Hill, but tabled a final decision.
Hill said work was progressing at the water plant.
The November town council meeting was changed to the first Monday of the month, November 5, at 6:30 p.m.
