A Pierceton home was destroyed by fire Monday afternoon. The house at 207 W. Market St., occupied by Joann Browning and Bobby Brown, sustained $30,000 damage but there were no injuries. The Pierceton Fire Department said a towel placed on a light bulb began to smoke and then caught curtains in the house on fire.
