ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Town of Pierceton 105 Walnut Street Pierceton, IN 46562 Sealed Bids for the Town of Pierceton, Indiana “2015 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project” consisting of a Base Bid of approximately 5,400 LF of 12-inch, 3,900 LF of 10-inch, and 26,000 LF of 8-inch cured in-place pipe lining (CIPP), manhole rehabilitation of 1,150 VF interior liner sealant, and misc. riser and frame/cover replacements, along with Additive Alternate Bid totaling approximately 5,900 LF of 8-inch cured in place pipe lining (CIPP) and manhole rehabilitation consisting of misc. riser and frame/cover replacements together with all related work as specified and shown on the Drawings will be received by the Town Council, Town of Pierceton, Indiana at the Clerk Treasurers Office located at 105 Walnut Street, Pierceton, Indiana 46562 until 11:00 a.m. (local time) on Monday, February 9, 2015, and then at said office opened and publicly read aloud. Proposals received after such hour will be returned unopened. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 11:00 a.m. (local time) on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Town Municipal Building located at 105 Walnut Street, Pierceton, Indiana 46562. Each bidder is responsible for inspecting the project site (s) and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with contract documents and specifications. Payment is not refundable. Make check or money order payable to GRW Engineers, Inc. Contract Documents shall be shipped via UPS ground service. Overnight delivery via UPS or FedEx of the Contract Documents shall only be made using recipient’s billing account number. Bids from anyone not on the Engineer’s Plan Holders List will not be opened. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or a certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid to insure the execution of the contract for which the bid is made. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the Town Council, Town of Pierceton within ten (10) days after the time he has been notified of the acceptance of his bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Town Council, Town of Pierceton as liquidated damages for the failure to do so. Each proposal must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the title of the Project, the name and address of Bidder. All proposals must be submitted on the proposal forms as identified in the Contract Documents and Specifications. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after closing time scheduled for the receipt of bids.
